Description:

This session will respond the issues, challenges, and questions that leaders face when they provide advice and support to their colleagues in need. Bring your ideas and experiences into this informal discussion, and expect to come away with new ideas and greater enthusiasm on how you can be an effective mentor to others. This session will be led by Marc Smiley, an organizational development consultant with Decisions Decisions in Portland. Marc has provided organizational support to leaders nationwide for more than 20 years, and now leads a deep team of consultants with great breadth in areas of sustainable leadership, authentic community engagement, strategic planning, fundraising strategy and more. /// Directions to the Nonprofit Network SW office & the February 21 session 9414 NE Fourth Plain Road Vancouver WA * The Nonprofit Network office & this workshop session are in the Innovative Service NW building, near Vancouver Mall. The "Mary Firstenburg Center' does not however have direct street access and so you must enter either through the parking lot of Best Western off Fourth Plain or drive into the Urgent Care/Chevron Station and literally drive to the back of the gas station to get to Innovative's parking lot. There is an art installation of white doves flying up the center of the building. * Parking - the spots directly in front of the door are 10 minute drop off and pick up only. If the main parking lot is busy, you can park in front of the small complex facing the hotel right off Fourth Plain. Near the vacant retail space at the north end of that building. (Complex with the tanning parlor - not the urgent care.) * Innovative Services is a secure building, you will need to sign in.
