Description:

As you have read in the newspaper, John submitted a budget to the county that makes up a $4.8 million shortfall for the next biennium in part by planning to transition services to the non-profit/private sector. These are critical services in our community and include: WIC, home visiting nursing services to families referred to CPS, HIV outreach, and others. If the Board of County Commissioners accepts this proposal, John would like to meet with the executive directors to discuss this strategy, discuss the benefits and risks of this strategy, hear from us our thoughts, and discuss what we would need to do together to make this work.
