Executive directors of Clark County human service organizations will meet with Clark County legislators the week before they go to Olympia for the 2009 session.  This is a program for legislators to become better acquainted with community services and needs, and for nonprofit leadership to meet their legislators as they leave for Olympia and the tough decisions this session will bring.

Because of the popularity of this annual meeting - and space imitations - we ask that you limit your organization’s representation to 2-3 people.

Besides the meeting, all nonprofit organizations are encouraged to provide information to be shared with legislators in the following ways:

  1. Provide your organization information in this simple contact and services questionnaire.  You will receive an electronic copy of information gathered.
  2. Bring 15 copies of a one-sheet flyer or brochure to Partners in Careers, 111 West 39th St., Vancouver by 5 pm on Thursday, December 18.

  * You are also welcome to bring one flyer (50 copies) on January 5th to the event to share with your colleagues.

This page has a draft outline of the 2009 Legislative session and information on how to effectively work with your elected representatives.
We will also include information on 2009 Lobby Days & Advocacy Groups as that becomes available.
The session begins January 12, 2009 -  we anticipate our sources for this information will have it to us prior to that time.
