M.J. MURDOCK CHARITABLE TRUST
Come to learn about one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier foundations.
“The M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust seeks to enrich the quality of life in the Pacific Northwest by providing grants and enrichment programs to non-profit organizations that seek to strengthen the region’s educational, spiritual, and cultural base in creative and sustainable ways.”
The Trust has a welcoming and informative website for community organizations.
It lists their funding priorities, tells you how to apply and even includes “Great Grantwriting”, a 7-page PDF of sound advice.
After doing your homework (sort of a matchmaking game - are you a good match?) come meet Mr. Dana Miller, Senior Program Director for Grant Programs. Mr. Miller is responsible for providing general leadership and oversight of the Trust’s grants program and its associated processes. He will speak about the Trust’s interests, programs, process. And answer questions. So bring your best questions.

LOCATION & PARKING
At Innovative Services NW in the Mary Firstenburg Family Center, 9414 Fourth Plain Road, Vancouver, WA 98662, adjacent to the Fourth Plain entrance into Vancouver Mall.
Directions: http://www.innovativeservicesnw.org/AboutUS/FindUs.htm
The building is immediately behind the Chevron station as you approach the Penny’s end of the mall (NOT to be confused with the Chevron station near the Macy’s side) - just drive into the gas station and go behind it. OR enter into the drive immediately east of the entrance to the mall off of Fourth Plain - the one with the Best Western and Absolute Life Chiropractic signs. Innovative Services is a 3 story brick building with a white dove art installation up the center front. You can’t miss the doves. Sounds complicated, but it’s just the weird access.
• Parking is limited and we try to give every consideration to the families receiving services at Innovative Services NW. Please park in the lot adjacent to the Mary Firstenburg Family Center (download map here). As this is off-site overflow parking, please take adequate security and safety precautions.
