Nonprofit Town Halls Report

Washington State nonprofits find common ground.

In Spring 2008 nonprofits in Vancouver, Spokane, Tacoma, Seattle, and Bellingham gathered to discuss their progress in mission effectiveness and their vision of a stronger future.  The results of these discussions are helping to shape the agenda of the Nonprofit Congress held in Washington D.C. June 2008.

A one page snapshot of the reports generated in each community found that:
(1)  Dedication and hard work pay off; are never ending
(2)  There is a lot to celebrate.  Each community has connections, energy, dedication and successes.
(3)  Nonprofits can build on their strengths with support.
(4)  While not central to the discussions, each Town Hall discussion mentioned collaboration as either a strength or a need or both.
