2011-2012 Grant Cyle

The focus of the 2011-2012 grant cycle is Access to the Arts.  The Circle particularly wants to see applications for programs which provide an arts experience for people with disabilities, very low income, or other populations who may not regularly have the opportunity.

 

Grant amounts
Grants will be made in amounts between $500 and $5,000 depending on the size of the circle’s annual pool of funds.  See our page on membership for examples of past grant funding. 

Criteria
Funding decisions will be made on or before May 24, 2012. Grants will be selected from amongst the organizations that meet the following criteria:
a. Qualify as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS tax code. 
b. Meet the Giving Circle’s mission.
c. Directly benefits people ‘in need’ who are residents of Clark County Washington.
d. Have submitted a complete application with all attachments by the deadline date.

The Nonprofit Network Giving Circle does not fund:
a. Organizations that promote a particular religious or political ideology
b. Dinner galas, advertising and other special fundraising events
c. Intermediary funding agencies

Submission
Proposal deadline is 5 pm on Friday, October 21, 2011.

The Giving Circle interviews the top prospective grant candidates at their monthly meetings, January through April. 
The decision is made by vote of the Circle Members, each of whom has contributed $250 (or more) to the Circle Fund.
